| About the CISR courses Agency Operations—Learn the important functions of an independent agency. We will cover: How to develop professional relationships; An in-depth look at binding insurance, claims processing, certificates of insurance, renewals, cancellations & billing; and the legal aspects of what you do. Attendance at a CISR Agency Operations class may qualify you to earn an E&O premium credit. Check with your individual carrier. Commercial Casualty—Uncover the building blocks of Commercial Casualty Insurance. We will cover: liability in the CGL policy; the differences between occurrence and claims-made claims; an overview of workers’ compensation insurance; an overview of the commercial auto policy; and important endorsements. Commercial Property—The essentials of CP Insurance will be addressed. We will cover: an in-depth analysis of the coverage including buildings and contents; endorsements; and how the Commercial Lines Marine Policy compliments the Commercial Property Policy. Personal Auto—Let’s analyze coverage in the Personal Auto Policy. We will cover liability, medical payments, uninsured motorists and physical damage coverage provided in the policy plus important endorsements. Personal Residential—This class sheds new light on the details of the Homeowners' Policy. We will cover: a complete analysis of the HO Policy; a complete analysis of the HO2, HO3, HO6 and all major endorsements; compare and contrast the HO Policy with the Dwelling Fire Policy. William T. Hold Seminars—Exclusive, advanced training for experienced CSRs. Developed especially for CISRs as part of the Founders Series, these innovative one-day courses are special advanced learning opportunities for insurance professionals who have earned the CISR, CIC, CRM, or CSRM designation. (2007-Open ONLY to the following designations: CISR, ACSR, CPSR, CIC. Effective January 1, 2008 , you must hold the designation and be a dues-paid member of the Society of CISR, CRM or CIC to attend the William T. Hold Seminars.) Who Should Attend? Earning and Maintaining the CISR
Designation Once you have successfully passed all 5 exams and earned the CISR designation, you must take one CISR program annually to maintain the designation.The deadline falls on the month of your birthday, so plan on taking a CISR update before your deadline each year to ensure that you remain in good standing with the Society of CISR. As a non-CE method CISR update option, you may attend 8 consecutive hours of a CIC institute * (earns 1 year of update credit. NO CE credit granted for this option.) Your annual continuing education update requirement after earning the CISR designation may be satisfied in one of four ways:
